Technology Solutions Expert

Location: Topeka, KS

The Technology Solutions Expert will be responsible for supporting the development and expansion of our product lines within the emerging Machine Control Technology sector of the construction industry.

This role can be based out of either our Topeka, Springfield or Wichita location.

Responsibilities.

  • Oversees the grade control systems used in equipment sales, rentals, and service operations.

  • Provides product assistance and training during demonstrations, as well as ongoing after-sales support and education.

  • Coordinate grade control demonstrations with internal sales team and customers.

  • Understands customer’s overall equipment needs and identify new areas of business opportunity

  • Sells equipment, parts, accessories, and rentals, as well as providing comprehensive service solutions. Builds long-term relationships within the territory to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize profitability for both the customer and the company.

  • Develops an understanding of competitors, their products, and current industry trends.

  • Utilizes company systems and tools to document, track, follow up on, and record all sales and activity.

  • Must be willing to travel to on site locations to meet with customers, and provide demonstrations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Available for travel between locations on an ongoing basis.

  • Team oriented individual who works well with associates at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Heavy equipment experience is preferred

  • Knowledge of GPS products and experience in troubleshooting technical issues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in computer networks, systems architecture, software development, and construction-related principles.

  • Experience in or related to land and construction surveying, with the capability to operate and calibrate surveying instrumentation and equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.

  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl

  • Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
